Debut album!

“Not only do they understand the power of actually writing songs, as they did six of them, perfectly formed.” – Terrorizer

“The Bastard Sons’ raucous racket is far too much fun for this time of day…” – Metal Hammer (Hammerfest VI review)

BAS-TARD "Something that is of irregular, inferior, or dubious origin"

The past 3 years have been somewhat of a whirlwind for The Bastard Sons. Formed in late 2011 and signed to Lockjaw Records after only a handful of shows, the band released their debut EP and set out to spread their brand of blues-infused metal around the UK. Already known for their energetic and chaotic live shows, by the end of 2013 The Bastard Sons had completed their first UK tour and had played a slot at Bloodstock 2013. Early 2014 saw the band embark on their first US tour and play two slots at Hammerfest VI. To coincide with this, their 2nd EP ‘Roads’ was released worldwide via Kaiju Records to many positive reviews.
Early 2015 saw their new single, ‘Release The Hounds’ reach number 1 in the iTunes Metal Charts, with the video for the track also featured on Scuzz TV & Kerrang! TV, the band completed an 11 date UK tour with California legends Snot. In April, the band will enter the studio to begin recording their debut album which is set for release in the summer of 2015.
