Description
The long-awaited debut CD from Lehigh Valley, PA-based THE B-ATTITUDES! Melodic, guitar-based, alternative power pop in the vein of Foo Fighters, Cheap Trick, Collective Soul and Stone Temple Pilots with lyrics penned in a Christian hand...
Notes
...Meaning Underneath The Sound - the debut CD from THE B-ATTITUDES: 4 Guys, at least 16 strings and a couple of sticks - yep, your typical 4 piece Rock and Roll band setup. Lord willing, that is where the cliche will end. The B-Attitudes are a Lehigh Valley-based gang of veteran musicians who have recently joined forces out of the fray of Praise and Worship, Classic Rock, R&B-Soul, Punk rock, Hip-Hop and Singer/Songwriter histories. The B-Attitudes themselves - well, 2 sets of 2 brothers, not old (but definitely not young!), together about 10 months, close to 80 years of combined overall musical experience, write their own songs, love loud guitars and vocal harmonies and most importantly, do it all for God's glory. Richie (guitars, vocals) and Russell (drums, vocals) Capaldo have been in various cover and original bands since the 80's, from their original hometown of Scotch Plains, NJ to their current locale in the Lehigh Valley. Eriq (bass, vocals) and Curtis (guitar, vocals) Wegfahrt have primarily been involved in the original music realm, from their Morris County-NJ based Destinee in the late 80s, through many incarnations since. The Capaldos and Eriq met up as members of the Phillipsburg Missionary & Alliance Church in P-Burg, NJ and eventually all played in PMAC's Worship group. This alliance soon gave birth to tribeStone, an original band consisting of the 3 future B-Attitudes and other PMAC Worship team members. It was instantly noticeable that original music, sometimes too "loud" for the older church population was where they were being led (in the footsteps of Jars of Clay, PfR, Lost Dogs, Michael Knott, U2, King's X, Collective Soul, Creed, etc). A few showcases came, and then the Lord engineered the end of tribeStone - but He had another plan! Curtis, a member of an Allentown based Lutheran church, was recruited, the B-Attitudes were born, the guitars got louder, the quantity and quality of songs increased, and God has been opening up doors for Contemporary Worship nights, Youth Group functions, Coffee Houses, major act opening slots and whatever future happenings He puts in front of them! Finalists in WZZO's 2009 Backyard Bands and Skylands Music Festival 2009 Battle of the Bands, as well as, showcasing gigs at SpiritFest, MannaFest, Light in the Park, Friday Night in the Light and Allentown MusikFest!!!
