The Birthday People EP is a studio duo project featuring Mike Schrand and Ken Kase that leans on rock, but also stirs in some folk, country and prog rock for good measure with songs that delve into the human condition.
Notes
The Birthday People was originally a solo songwriting project Mike Schrand envisioned but after a chance meeting with veteran songwriter and musician Ken Kase, the two put their heads together to create this EP. The songs cover subjects as everyday as panic, anger (without double bass drums and 7 string guitars) and odes to the muse, as well as "Sappington Way", a lush ode to the idea that "you can't go home again". All delivered with impeccable production and loving artistry.
