Description

Everything is both hunter and prey, even the shadows. This is just the beginning for the Shadow Hunters.

Notes

THIS IS A CD SOUNDTRACK/COMIC SET FOR THE SHADOW HUNTERS COMIC BY SCATTERED COMICS. When you buy the physical CD, you get it with a copy of the comic AUTOGRAPHED by BYA members Paddy and Gino as well as the comic creator Jason Dube and illustrator Benny Jordan. The autographed copies are limited to the 21 packs in stock and will not be available again. (The mp3 album DOES NOT include the comic.)

Shadow Hunters is the new supernatural comic book that revolves around the lives of 3 teenage girls. As they seek vengence on the dark demon that wiped out hundreds of lives, they encounter both a vast array of darkness that dwell around them and a shadow army that combats it. This is a new series from Scattered Comics that is written by Jason Dube and drawn by Benjamin Jordan. It is an NC-16 rated comic recommended for the more mature reader due to heavy themes of death, mature subject matters, and violence.

Scattered Comics brought Backyard Astronauts on board to create an innovative soundtrack companion, and boy, oh boy, did we ever deliver. There's 5 brand new BYA songs that provide an audio backdrop for the Shadow Hunters universe.

The soundtrack, released on Converse Records, ranges from moshing to gothic to moody to punchy (literally) to the purely atmospheric and all points in between.

Fans of Pink Floyd, Rage Against The Machine, Alice In Chains, Ozzy Osbourne and Daft Punk should definitely feel right at home with this dark horror, hard rocking music that sets the stage for this comic's good versus evil theme.

ABOUT BACKYARD ASTRONAUTS:

If you're an astronaut, you're an astronaut and you know it. You KNOW IT. And somewhere, somehow at some point, someone has to be the crazy S.O.B. who builds a rocket right in their own back yard and launches themselves to the stars. Someone will find the right parts, the right place, the right time, and the HUGE brass cajones to light that ship and ride it out of Earth's orbit. (And you will be awestruck staring at the burning grass in their yard and kicking yourself for not getting on board.)

This is BYA's music ethic. Music that is different, that is honest, that fuels your imagination, that sparks your engines in the morning and cools your jets in the evening.

Backyard Astronauts make music channeled from the stars that swells inside your dreams. Music that clues you in just a little bit more that we are all part of the same tiny rock hurling through the cosmos at a speed no one on their own could ever survive. Your clothes, your car and your job, even your breath, those things don't matter. You're along for the ride.

We have no mission but to ride this rocket to the farthest reaches of imagination, journal it into our songs and share it with our fellow astronauts.

We are about the music.

We are Backyard Astronauts.
