Music Only Album - Lyrics Need Not Apply. My twin sister Jennie and I wrote a ton of lyrics in our time. However, sometimes lyrics can get in the way of a good melody, and vice versa. I hope you find these melodies dedicated to Jennie to be memorable.

Music Only Album - Lyrics Need Not Apply is a collection of melodies I've written over the years, inspired by my unique early introduction to music. When growing up as a young girl in Chicago - long before my twin sister Jennie and I recorded the Doublemint gum song, my father who loved music, believed that somehow lyrics ruined a good melody. So, he would only play music that was orchestrated and had no lyrics, i.e. sound tracks, albums by famous musicians, etc. As a result, we grew up listening intently to melodies and background music that played in my mind. When I went to Chicago Music College of Roosevelt University, I learned the language of chord progressions, intervals, timing, in essence the things I was hearing in my brain that finally had names and purpose. I take pride in writing music that is familiar, yet surprising to a discerning listener who also enjoys melodies and counterpoint. I found an amazing orchestrator, John Brainard, who took my melodies and made them sing! This compilation is a lifelong work that I hope you will enjoy listening to and get something new and different from the songs with each playing. My twin sister, Jennie Frankel, was always into lyrics - and I was into melodies, though we collaborated with lyrics as well. Many of these songs you can find on my You Tube pages. However, this compilation of music can only be found on this album. I hope you treasure listening to these songs as much as I enjoyed writing them!
