The americana, rock and sultry works of Musle, Bone Skin and Fat are a wonderful blend of sounds which at times can remind you of Uncle Tupelo meets Waylon Jennings.

Music- The universal word Right?....Right. That is the way I like to approach and think of my music. However my first album chooses to be classified, I want to think of it as universal. Whether its the full guitar sounds of Bob Mould and Neil Young or the untamed beautiful messes of Johnny Thunders to the calmness and life happenings of John Prine, I like to think my songwriting as something everyone can relate to. I heard Henry Rollins say once that "If you walked through the door to see our show, no matter how you looked or what your opinions were, you were one of us at that time and place.
I think this album surely tickles the Americana genre, however I hope everyone stands a chance to embrace at least a part of it. Muscle, Bone, Skin and Fat is my first album and it includes some songs that were started when I was in junior high all the way through my times now with my wife on our northeast nebraska acreage. Songwriting (from the heart) is a wonderful thing, whether using heartache, good times, bad days at work or you name the emotion, somehow tricking your brain into taking your thoughts and putting them into song is a ability I feel blessed each and every day to possess. I remember hearing Brad Paisley say once "Power of the Pen"!
Energy-From us Metal heads and us Punks to us Hippies and us Country Boys & Girls music is Unity(Operation Ivy). When I play a live show it does my mind good to see everything from Chris Knight through The Clash through Waylon Jennings t-shirts in the crowd.
When I wrote the title track, Muscle, Bone, Skin and Fat it focused on the fact that I could never understand the arrogance of some people, Takin My Time is about the love of the pace of life I can be allowed to live at in the part of the world I live in or Without You Near which has a almost dirty sexiness to it which I think is pretty damn cool!!
So if you take Muscle, Bone, Skin and Fat for a spin know that I hope you enjoy the hell out of it. I am very proud to bring this music to you. Sit back with a Cognac or a beer and take a listen to. I think you will find these songs work equally well in front of the fire pit, on the living room couch or with your partner on the dance floor!! All the best everyone, Ted Miller
