Taylor Scott & Another Kind of Magick are a blues and roots band based out of Wyoming and Colorado. The youngest band to ever be finalists in the International Blues Challenge, these men know how to play. At live shows, the band continues to wow audience through musical talent, soulful playing, eye catching showmanship, and a superb chemistry between band members. Old Yellowstone Road is an EP that consists of blues and soul songs written by bandleader, singer/guitarist Taylor Scott. This album shows off the band's ability to stay true to the blues while putting an original spin on their music. Songs like "Welcome to the Blues," and "Can't Read Your Mind, Baby," sample the band's mean, straight up blues sound while songs like "Days Are Numbered," and "Pulled From Under You," feature the more sweet sounding, soul-style side of the band. Of course, Taylor Scott & AKM get a little funky on the track "Walkin' Pressure Cooker," co-written by harmonica player Nic Clark. Through these songs, Taylor Scott begins to tell his own story, a story true to himself. If this is your first time hearing the band, don't hesitate to pick up Old Yellowstone Road.
