A summer compilation featuring a wide selection of talented local artists from Hawaii. Join us in celebrating summer and extend that summer vibe with this collection of songs as the soundtrack for your summer living.

A Summer Compilations released by Daddy Leopard Records

The singer-songwriters contributing the sixteen gems on this compilation are as varied as the fabric of ethnicities and culture that make up present day Hawaii. From the catchy sing a long chorus of The Desert Sea's encouraging 'Rise Above' where you are coaxed to open up your heart to over come obstacles, to the surf rock instrumental 'Buckle Pump' by Men In Grey Suits, or Ka'imi -of HIRIZ's invitation to party island style with the reggae party anthem 'RayJah', there truly is something for everyone, and quite possibly a new favorite jewel just waiting to be discovered.

Enjoy the sensation of spending a hot summer day in paradise with someone special as you listen to KBB's 'Something 'bout A Girl', with imagery of tan lines and cherry shave ice dripping down your finger tips. Let the phenomenal Erika Elona hold you close with her sultry voice as you accompany her down to the sea. Or watch the waves roll by with riveting performer Zack Shimizu, as his commanding voice entices you to just kick back, relax, and have a few.

Local pop punk sensations Beware the Bear, Above Reproach, and Zach Manzano all get your blood pumping with the highly energetic contributions featured here. Lift your hands to the sky and let Zach Manzano show you he is there for you with 'Just A Bit More'. After all, how do you expect to grow, if you only stick to the things you know? Or perhaps you'll be itching to pour yourself a glass of 'Sugar Cane Soda Pop', to the top. You'll appreciate the driving force known as Beware the Bear, especially if there has ever been a time in your life where you wished you could forget someone's name or face from a relationship that didn't exactly turn out as planned.

Zachariah's power driven 'Send Me' is imbued with a sense of urgency that will assist you in getting up and getting things accomplished when you take the message to heart. Get your groove on with the beat/heat driven 'Love Long Distance' from Erin Smith's brand new release, American Boy, featuring masterful hip hop artist Illis It.

Also included are the very first releases from three emerging female artists, who are exceptionally talented as well as extraordinarily beautiful, both inside and out. The listener can 'Run to the Sea' and be young and free with 14 year old indy artist and incredibly gifted lyricist LIV. Or feel needed and loved while soaking up Chloe XOXO's islandy 'I Wanna Be'. And experience the sensation of a surf sesh in paradise even if you've never been to Hawaii, with Ari's 'Epic Water'.

The driving rhythm of the young and multi talented Red Light Challenge captivates the listener with 'I Gotta Girl' while seasoned veterans SUGahDADDY invite you to experience the freedom of self realization, peace, and satisfaction when you 'Let It Go'.

Both the selection of artists and their songs presented here on Summer Dream were hand picked by local producers Brandon Apeles and Michelle Aquino. Second in a series of projected collaborations, Summer Dream follows on the coattail of the 2014 Hoku (Hawaiian Grammy) nominated compilation Love Your Mother, produced in honor of Earth Day and our awe inspiring planet.

100% of the proceeds from this project are being donated to The Surfrider Foundation -Oahu Chapter, a non profit here in Hawaii. They work diligently to keep our beaches and ocean clean and accessible.

Mahalo for supporting singer-songwriters from Hawaii, indy music, and Oahu's magnificent beaches and ocean which encompass our island home by downloading these songs that were crafted for your listening pleasure. Aloha!
