Lush wall of sound defined by heavy rhythms, swirling fuzzy guitars, and lo-fi vocals. Stereotype brings a dark, spacious sound reminiscent of their influences such as Jesus & Mary Chain, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Explosions in the Sky.
Notes
Recorded in one day at Crown City Studios in Pasadena, CA and then subsequently mixed over the following months at the end of 2013. The Fractures EP was a willed effort that started in their home studio and turned into the these recordings that showcase their characteristic sound. After forming the 4-piece band in early 2012, STEREOTYPE quickly built an arsenal of original songs that focus on dark, groovy, haunting rhythms and a wall of sound layered in vocals and guitars that sonically overwhelm and surround you.
