Description
Like a sledge hammer to the face, this album is not for the faint of heart. Drawing from influences such as NIN & Primus, through to the classical compositions of Bela Bartok; brutality, creativity and atonality combine to deliver something truly unique.
Notes
"For Steel Box Theories, the classical, progressive and metal worlds collide to create something rather intense." - Dawn of the Deaf, Introducing… Steel Box Theories
This is what we stand for...
Dedicated to creating music that is uncompromised and independent of the commercial mainstream markets, delivering something that is unique, creative, original and always striving for excellence. Genre shall not define it, nor shall its boundaries limit creativity.
Like a sledge hammer to the face or a rhino tickling your testes, this album is not for the faint of heart. This is a true DIY project - everything you hear has been recorded, produced and mixed by me (Lawless Luke). The album took 6 and a half years of hard work and dedication to create, from inception to completion.
Steel Box Theories debut draws from an array of different musical genres and influences; from the stark minimal industrial sounds of Nine Inch Nails to the progressive and experimental sounds of bands such as Tool, Pink Floyd, and Primus. Applying elements of discord and atonality found in the works of classical composers such as Bela Bartok, through to the harsh aural brutality found in modern metal bands such as Korn, Killswitch Engage, Mastodon and Il Nino.
I really do hope you enjoy the album and if you don't please do go on the internet and bitch about it to someone who gives a sh*t...
Steel Box Theories is the brainchild and musical project from composer, performer and producer Lawless Luke.
