Notes
DJ Fade grew up in the Southside of Chicago and experienced the life of gangs and the elements of hip-hop mixed together. Listening to Eazy-E, Bone Thugs, Wu-Tang, Nas, and many more Rap crews and artists. His older brother Alonzo gave him two turntables and a mixer as an early Christmas present, introducing him to the beginning of his music career. Starting out as a DJ at 12 years old, DJ Fade was guided from an older friend in the neighborhood known as Dj Make. DJ Make taught him what House Classics were all about. DJ Fade moved out of the neighborhood because of the gang violence. He moved to a small town where everyone knows everyone and Classic Rock is the music to listen to, a world he thought only existed in movies. Bob Bush, a co-worker in a steel factory taught him about Classic Rock and The Blues. The diversity that took place in his life made him unique when it came down to composing music. Influenced by many different types of musicians, DJ Fade decided to take it to his own level. DJ Fade hooked up with Em Ce Haze (another friend from the hood) and decided to make their own music, DJ Fade as the producer and Haze as the rap artist. The distance between the city and the town that DJ Fade lived in was a factor for them to work together, but DJ Fade kept his music passion alive and hustled his way through transportation, troubles with the law and studio equipment. Moving back to Chicago with more connects and fans; DJ Fade brings you his first album, Innercity, which features friends that he grew with in the Southside of Chicago. He states, “This is just the beginning”…………
