The Hurricane

Donny is a worship leader at Faith Christian Family Church in Clovis, New Mexico. He has a beautiful wife, and 11-year old daughter, a 4 year old son who lives in Baltimore and twins on the way! Donny grew up loving music, from the time he was born he was always making some kind of noise. He started leading worship at a church in Bel Air, MD when he was 13 years old. During his high school years he lead worship all over Maryland and southeastern Pennsylvania. After graduating high school he went to the Zadok House of Prayer in Ft. Mill, South Carolina where he refined his musical and leadership skills.

He then attended Eastern University in St. Davids, PA and Messiah College in Grantham, PA for youth ministries. He later decided college wasn’t the path for him. He then went and worked with Youth With A Mission in Honolulu, Hawaii. After competing his Discipleship Training School he stayed on staff for 3 years as the base worship director. He left Hawaii for a technical job at a church in New Mexico and was ready to give up music completely. After a year the church’s worship pastor left and Donny was asked to step up and fill in. He has been leading worship again and recording for the past 2 years.

"The goal behind the music is to create an environment and experience for people to meet with God. There is a movement of people who want a real encounter with God, it might be just for Him to give them peace, or it could be a heart wrenching issue and they need God to intervene because they don’t know how they will get to tomorrow. Donny’s goal is that his music and worship would help create that environment for you for really draw near to the one who first loved us.
This album came out of a cry in my heart for more real, raw, and authentic worship music. We live in a world of one hit wonders, and flashy showmanship, but this album is the opposite of that. I want this album to draw you into the presence of God every time it is turned on. I want you to relate deeply to the music and lyrics."
