Description
Austin's best kept secret performs fourteen original songs which highlight both his pure baritone voice and fingerstyle acoustic guitar
Notes
This album is dedicated to my daughter, Jocelin. I really hope you enjoy this collection of songs I've composed from the early 70's, onward.
Without the faith and help of Barbara, my longtime friend, this would not have been possible.
She found Paul Baker and he, together with Robbie Steininger, assembled a rhythm section of seasoned
and gifted musicians who helped me create my best effort to date.
I sang before I walked and my first instrument was a harmonica, with which I learned the art of melody.
My Mom snuck in an electric guitar when I was nine. With the help of friends who had amps, we tried to be the Beatles.
I was given my first acoustic when I was eighteen. I've played them ever since.
Hope you enjoy!
Take me with you.
Thanks and love, Doug
