Featuring 23 tracks of historical Hungarian Gypsy music taken from old 78 records dating back to 1909, some were made on home disc recorders

Notes

These Roma suffered discrimation and persecution their whole lives, and today the desendents of these Roma don't want to be Gypsy anymore and now they are on the verge of losing their heritage and music. This CD was made as an effort to preserve some of the recordings they made. See gypsyviolins.com for information about these Roma, the book and the CD.
