Description
In the tradition of great songwriting bands like The Replacements, The Stones, and The Clash; this record runs the gamut from introspective pop to badass ROCK. With hooks enough for radio and smart enough for real album rock fans. Something Good.
Notes
The Distractions are a family. Since childhood, Bob Smith, Mato D’Ambrosio, and Todd Haviland have been making music and living their lives together. In that time the friends have written over 300 songs, and toured the country together in this and a half dozen other bands. But as other projects come and go... The Distractions live on.
The new record "Something Good" is a testament to the growth and beauty that musicians can engender only after a lifetime of shared experience. Recorded by Marc Fuller at Edie Road, the eleven song disc reflects the wide range of that experience and the innumerable influences the band has found along the way. The Distractions have churned these lessons learned into something new, Something Good, something great. The tracks are smart, infectious, raw with emotion, and most important… they rock!
