BIO

DJ DEW has had a love for music since the age of 8 when he started playing the drums which soon lead to percussion instruments. Growing up in New York he was exposed to different genres of music. By his early teens he was DJing Hip Hop at house parties and having DJ battles. Everything changed for him once he was introduced to House music, the sound of it, the feel of it and watching people dance to it made him crave it.
After spinning for a while in New York he moved to Florida, he soon came to the realization that he was not completely satisfied playing other people's music so he formed the House group "Scotland Yard". They opened for acts such as "Sweet Sensation", "Timmy T" and "U Krew". They were featured in DMR (Dance Music Report) Magazine. After the break up of Scotland Yard he went on to produce his first album "Bring on the Bass" by the Bolo Bros.. Following that album he released "Wave Nation" and one of the tracks were used on the international "DJ Westbam" cd and other dance compilations around the world. Some of his other albums are "3rd Odyssey" and "Groove Nation". The song "Together Again" from the "Groove Nation" album was a great single for him, it was all over the radio mix shows and in clubs which lead him to preform a show with Robin Fox, and The Cormazone Project, MTV used several tracks from that album for their show "Undressed". In addition to those tracks they have licensed some of his more recent songs for the show "Damage Control". In addition to producing original music he has done remixes for Coldplay, Greenday, Three Doors Down and Jessica Simpson, all of those tracks can be found on Aol radio pop remix along with his Artist Spotlight write up. You can find his music on most internet radio stations. This summer he is releasing three new albums: "Electronic House", "Transfusion of Dance", and "DJ DEW House Lounge" " DJ DEW Insignia" . In between producing albums he has been spotted spinning at different clubs in Florida and Europe. You can get a taste of DJ DEW's newest tracks on myspace.com/djdew.
