on this locally inspired ep of deep drum and bass tunes, i was influences a lot by Loadstar, and from local talents and production companies like Shah DJs, and Suave Assassins from Vancouver BC. As well coming from a back ground of Toronto based parties..
Notes
Soundlighter of Vancouver, Canada, a lyricist, DJ and producer. A professional Mobile DJ for over 10 years, with tastes for many genres. Although when starting out aspired to be an emcee, and was focused on hip-hop. Also a talented song writer for many years practiced the art of rhymes.
For the past few years he has been working hard on producing electronic, and working with many styles including a Drum and Bass EP called “Touch of Bass", produced in 2012. Coming a long way from his youth and recalls barely making it out of a hard life style of drugs, crime, family and income problems, and relocating often.
He has been djing a lot of top40 and other music for gigs, however he is more interested in music like Drum and Bass, Dubstep, and Electro, and loves the underground party, techno, rave, and festival scenes, dreaming of playing at festivals like Shambhala in B.C.
Growing up influenced by artists like Nas, when starting electronic really loved big name trance artists like Tiesto, when introduced to drum and bass it was artists like Calibre, and Loadstar that made him want to produce that music, even developing sounds derived from dubstep artists like Datsik, Bassnector, and Nero.
Focused on quality sounds, danceable tracks, and ambient tunes with underground tripped out flavours. Making mixes that have soothing sounds and incredible bass.
