Notes
Yoshihiro Ota received his musical educations in the music course of Omiya Koryo High School and in the piano course of the Tokyo University of the Arts and graduated with top honors. He continued his study in the master’s course of music research at the graduate school of the same university. He has won many competitions so far and has played with many domestic and overseas orchestras. He has recorded for many TV dramas, cartoon films, and commercials. He was also invited to “The Budapest Spring Festival” in Hungary in 2009.
Yoshihiro formed a “Duo Plaisir” with his wife to be, Moeko in 2008 and they have won many competitions as piano duo as well. He released CD, Smetana : The Moldau / Dvořák : Symphony No. 9 in E minor ‘‘from the New World’’. His music is also distributed online, at iTunes Music Store, etc. He studied piano with Chikako Kawabe and Kazune Zaima, accompaniment piano with Konrad Richter and piano solo and duo with Yu Kakuno. He currently teaches at the Tokyo University of the Arts as a part-time lecturer.
Moeko Ota is from Detmold, Germany. She studied at the music high school attached to the Tokyo University of the Arts and graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts and finished a master course at the graduate school of the same university. She has won many competitions since she was a student and performed in many concerts. She studied piano with Sachiyo Yonekawa and piano solo and duo with Yu Kakuno.
