Years ago, my wife, then working as a massage therapist, encouraged me to compose some massage/relaxation selections. At the time, I was composing concert pieces and moving into this medium seemed like a refreshing change. I submitted some pieces to Serenity Music, ending up producing three albums for them.
When the music business began to shift to the internet and downloads, I created another album, Glass Calm. All four of these albums have received ASCAPLUS awards. Arranged chronologically, the selections from the four albums appear in the first three disks of this set. The fourth disk contains pieces composed during the last two years and, with the addition of a rhythm section, has a different character than the previous material. The selections on the fourth disk are really instrumental arrangements of songs, most of which have lyrics. Although some of the songs have been recorded by various artists, they do not appear in this set.
I would like to thank Jim Moeller at Serenity Music, as well as the numerous musicians who contributed to this album.
