Notes

This Complilation is a combination of some of the most popular songs from "Christside Souljahz", "Arqese aka-Wizdom", "Ace D.O.G", and "Saved Savage" with 3 new songs from the album "Arqese-The Food 4 Thought Project."

Christside Souljahz: In a youth culture dominated by materialism, exploitative sex, decadent fantasies and artistic redundancy, Christside Souljahz marches to a different drummer. The scope of their mission is trained on the streets and music is the ammunition aimed at the hearts and minds of the youth lost to the ravages of their generation. A gathering force, bringing the good news of Christ'smessage of truth, love, healing, hope and compassion, eloquent in the language of Hip Hop, Christside Souljahz has given a positive voice to the hidden aspirations and dreams of youth too long ignored by both the media and orthodox tradition. Like the Pied Piper, Christside Souljahz beckons to the young as they follow the call to realize the divine inheritance that "the system" would deny.
As a vital force in the community and in the beleaguered world of Hip Hop, these veteran rappers rise to the occasion with lyrics that justify their name. They don't just rap about hardship and healing, ruthlessness and redemption, their art in effect does something about it. The charismatic duo of ANC and Ace DOG arrive like a hurricane at group homes and Juvenile Halls to arrest the consciousness of alienated and misguided youth. They reach the young where they live and lead them to the living Christ, that higher calling latent within us all. With caring hearts, a rhythmic resonance the youth can identify with and a message that won't quit, the music ministry of Christside Souljahz is a last resort for children abandoned to the consequences of history and their own folly. For the so-called "endangered species" imploding and under attack, this spiritually resourceful music has been known to save lives and heal souls with cross-cultural inspiration. "Joshua fit de battle of Jericho" and Christside Souljahz fights the battle of mean streets.

Arqese aka Wizdom: Wizdoms understanding of the trials and tribulations of troubled youth is fortified by first hand experience. Career dedicated to creating, performing and promoting life-affirming music, lovingly aimed at crisis-driven youth, has been one filled with the blessings of earth angels and divine interventions. As is so for many of today's youth, there were times when there seemed to be no light at the end of the tunnel cast about from relative to relative. Having survived life events that would have dismayed a lesser soul, from threats by the KKK to an education disrupted by scandal, ANC's biography reads like a movie script, replete with ruthless villains, chase scenes, close calls and - ultimately - the answer to his prayers. Wizdom's music began to take on a more socially-conscious and positive bent, and his life was transformed in the process.
Today, Airick Arqese has new company. Powered By Christ Entertainment is already making a difference in the music industry, as well in God's ministry. On the front line, empowered by a vision for change and the love of God, Wizdom sees himself as a survivor of the war on youth and a commander of a vanguard for uplift, self-love and community spirit. From his counseling field work with children categorized as abused, abandoned, and severely emotionally-disturbed, to music therapy at juvenile hall, to his various church performances as Christside Souljahz, this music welcomes seemingly unreachable youth to catch the spirit at the altar. Wizdom's mission is the victory song of a life that has transcended pain. His audience recognizes that music this non-judgmental, clarifying and brave is the sound they've been waiting for.

Ace D.O.G: Born and raised in San Francisco, CA, ACE D.O.G credits his mother with having the foresight and the courage to take the action that saved his life. When his father abandoned the family, the gang-ridden streets of San Francisco became all too familiar. "School was too risky," ACE D.O.G explains. His crew dropped out and his posse began to pursue pastimes that lead them closer and closer to the danger that would eventually snuff out the lives of two of his homies.
Witnessing the murder of a friend was the critical turning point. In a miraculous rescue, ACE D.O.G's mother moved her children to Fremont, California where even a sullen, aimless, skeptic, such as ACE D.O.G had already become, might have a chance to reinvent himself and thrive.
And that is just what he did. When secular rapping began to lose its flavor, ACE D.O.G became a member of an early Christian rap group, Disciples of God. Through the same earth angel, Carolyn, he met Airick. Along with intensive Bible studies, he earned his GED; and, his life took on the new direction that has made his mother proud.
"Rappin for the Lord," ACE D.O.G reaches youth who's on the brink of despair and self-destruction themselves - are primed to hear the clarion call of a new message in the tone, tempo and format that has become a multi-billion dollar, international phenomenon: rap. ACE D.O.G and his partner, ANC, are pioneers on a spiritual adventure and they won't be satisfied until the service of deliverance and redemption of youth is complete.
Young, passionate and fiercely dedicated to his calling, ACE D.O.G is now a witness for the healing grace of the living Christ, without which his very life might by now have become no more than a sorrowful memory for his loved ones. When you've come that close to extinction, you have learned some lessons and the purity of your music stirs the soul.
And so it is with the Christian rapper, ACE D.O.G.

Saved Savage: Born in San Francisco, CA the Saved Savage (a.k.a. Big Moh) was raised all around Northern California’s Bay Area. As a youth he was brought up in the church but as many do, he rebelled. When asked why the Savage explained. “I went to the church expecting to get something but I found the same thing I was getting on the block ”. For eighteen years the Savage fought to stay away from the church and was often forced to attend. At eighteen he gave his life to Christ and his life began to change. As a youth, prophets spoke that the Savage would be a powerful man of a God but the Savage never saw himself in a pulpit. But then the opportunity came to spread the word of the Lord in a form he knew, Rap.

Saved Savage became a member of the Faithwalkaz and began to do ministry rhyming God’s word on the microphone. With his unique Bay area inspired flow the Saved Savage stood out. So after years of ministry with his bothers he felt the Lords pull and ventured out on his own. Saved Savage has a heart for the young and feels his ministry is vital in today’s society, a society that is trying to take God out. The Savage explains his ministry as “ the word of God laid down to a beat that has been translated into laymen’s terms. The message is in the music and the music of the Saved Savage is a unique blend of God’s word and life through the eyes of a Savage
