Description

Mixing Rock, Pop & Rhyme in a way that respects the intelligence of listeners.

Notes

East West Xperiment is a melding of Rock, Pop, Electro & Improvisational movements and loops.

"Everything As Of Yesterday" (JAN 2013) was produced by Dave Rice & Mike Burrell. All sounds recorded by Dave Rice and mixed by Dave Rice & Mike Burrell. All vocals by Mike Burrell & Dave Rice. Music played by Dave Rice (co-vocals, guitars, synths, drums, bass), Mike Burrell (lead vocals, bass, synths, drums), John Sherling (main synths, EFXist) & Bill Roberts Jr. (drums, percussion, vocal on "The Taste Of Blood & Dirt (part 2)"). -- Recorded/ Produced at Basement Audio, Binghamton New York, Northeast United States. -- Launchtube Records (or Launchtube Records LLC).

Dave Rice worked with Mike Burrell, John Sherling & Bill Roberts Jr., separately, for years. Mike went to Dave in 2005, for help with a solo album. Mike and Dave played all the instruments. This eventually lead to each colaborating on various other projects. Before settling on the name East West Xperiment, they were a nameless duo producing remixes for FANGS (Glasgow, Central Scotland); Dutch Uncles (Marple/Stockport, Northern England); Snowden (Atlanta, Southeast US); Mike Dignam (Preston, Northwest England); and Olympus Mons (East London, Southeast England). No artist was disappointed with the Rice-Burrell remixes.

Mike and Dave applied and weaved newly learned remix techniques and ideas into their own song craft and musicianship, hence the almalgam of influences leading to an East West Xperiment.
