Description
A dark musical journey from the birth of the universe to the death of a madman, from mysterious and hypnotic to angry and violent it is lushly symphonic with gobs of pipe organ and more fake latin than you can shake a stick at.
Notes
When I was a child we held Spook Houses in our basement, using Stravinskys' "The Rite of Spring" and later the soundtrack to "The Omen" as backround music. I still consider "The Rite of Spring" my favorite piece. Although I couldn't hope to approach the intracacies of Stravinsky I did try to capture some of the feeling and emotion in his work. Since the cd ended up taking a religious flavor there's a great deal of pipe organ and fake latin singing male choirs as well. And just to spice things up there's a little ELP over-the-top boom-boom crash-crash piano pounding. If you want some creepy backround music for your haunt, it's in there. If you want music that's gonna make other drivers look at you like you're insane, it's in there.
Review:
Nightmare City Halloween-Stevo in yr Stereo:
"I am quite impressed with your new album and find it to be your strongest recording to date. Great production and well crafted. It was easy to imagine I was listening to a film score! Very dramatic and I particularly love the organ work."
