Description

Dynamic, energetic, sometimes ambient, and often heavy hard rock influenced by major rock acts and little known post-rock and progressive hard rock bands.

Notes

The album "Abstract(ion)," is a culmination of songs written for the sake of interpreting our influences while writing music we like to play. Though the scope of our influences not often strays away from the rock genre, we tend to listen to the very commercial and the very non-commercial; from bands such as Tool, Deftones, Breaking Benjamin, and Chevelle to Pelican, Isis, and Russian Circles to Karnivool, Snot, and the Foo Fighters. All of these artists and more provide us a foundation to work within while we construct our own sound. We continue to grow as we listen to more and different artists and have the drive to continuously challenge our writing and playing. "Abstract(ion)" is technically our sophomore effort, but it represents a rebirth for our direction. We try to incorporate a familiar sound while attempting to imprint our own version of the sounds we love. We have listed one of our sub-genres as "Progressive Rock," but we in no way believe that we are in the same realm as major artists associated with that genre; we like to say that we have progressive tendencies. However, we have been told that we are a mix of Pink Floyd and Tool... You be the judge.
