Description

Metal mixed with 70 80 90's rock with a classical influence and a new age edge

Notes

KELLY BREWER -
Born in Modesto CA, enjoyed music at an early age but as they say about most singers she was complete closet case until Duane Rolands found her at age 19.
She joined Highlander in 1990 and has been performing religiously with the band since then and other various projects such as a 2 year tour with Gregg Douglass
of the Steve Miller Band. Her influences are Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Vince Neil of Motley Crue, Ronnie James Dio, Doro Pesch of Warlock, and believe it or not Olivia Newton-John?
She has a strong vocal range and her powerful scream will bring you to your knees! Her stage presence is complete high energy and whoever said" less is more", must have been talking about her stage outfits.
Known for her perfect memory and her perfect pitch she has paved the way for her band to just kick fukin ass all over the place!

DUANE WALTON
Born in Allegheny PA, Began playing drums at age 14 on a little drum kit in a closet. Almost killed himself by donating blood and plasma at over 4
different blood banks a week to pay for his first professional kit, a Vintage 20 peice Tama Royalstar formerly played by Vinnie Appice
of Dio. He formed Highlander in 1989 and has been the driving force behind the band ever since. His drum playing has been compared to a loaded freight train
out of control. His influences are Bill Ward of Black Sabbath, Nikko Mcbrain of Iron Maiden, John Bonham, Neil Pert, and Buddy Rich. JERRY HOUSTON was born in Riverside CA, he started training to play classical guitar when he was 15, and joined Highlander when he was 16 and has been with them ever since. He worked with the bands older equipment until finally purchasing his own gear and moving on to bigger and better sounds. With a thundering bass sound he helps to hold a rock solid foundation for the music that Highlander produces. Between his haunting bass melodies and his driving bass runs he makes himself an irreplaceable contribution to the entire Highlander experience. He grew up on the music of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jimmie Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Def Tones, Rancid and many, many more.
JUSTIN LEWIS thinks he was born in Laguna Hills, CA but he’s not sure cuz he never asked. He started playing guitar at age 15 on a Squire Stratocaster bought for him by his father, a former touring musician himself. Following in his fathers footsteps, he joined Highlander when he was 18, by then already a tremendously talented guitar player, and started hitting the stage with a vengeance. With his screaming leads and dramatic flair for perfect riffs he brings to the Highlander table an awesome style that blends the best of old school metal with new style rock, and classical ingenuity! Randy Rhoads would be proud of this guy!!! Keep your eyes on him, you’ll see what I’m talking about.
