Notes
Eric Saak is an independent artist from the US who has been composing music since he was a young child. His parents were in a band together and have always encouraged his musical and creative nature. After a year of piano lessons at the age of 9, Eric and two friends from grade school began writing a few songs which they eventually performed for their 8th grade graduation. Throughout high school and into his adult years Eric has composed many songs on both the piano and guitar but until recently had no real way of recording these performances. As a DIY'er, several attempts were made over the years to set up a home studio with various types of equipment but none yielded very good quality recordings. In 2011, KORG released the KRONOS music workstation, this combined with Apple's Logic Pro allowed Eric to set up a more professional home studio where he has been learning about engineering and audio mastering. He had this to say, "Producing an album seemed like a huge mountain to climb until I heard the CD Baby DIY podcast. I know that sounds like a shameless plug but it was a huge inspiration. I learned so much from all Chris and the guys had to share that I want aspiring musicians to know the information is out there and we all have tools available so we can share our music with the world." Though he admits there is still much to learn, Eric is excited about the future and looks forward to sharing his music with you. Aural Motion is a collection of songs he has been working on over the last year, he hopes you enjoy them as much as he enjoyed making them.
