Bio

Based in Indianapolis, Sean Jackson and Kent Vernon have been playing rock-n-roll music in Indiana and the
surrounding states for more than 15 years. After cutting their chops in the '90s with popular cover bands such as The Housemarys, Situation Grey and Myrllen's Coat, they teamed up in a band called Dooga La Brown and released one CD. Since then, Sean and Kent, along with a few friends, have been recording songs under the name Finest Grain. Layered melodies and poignant lyrics combined with Sean and Kent's true appreciation for a good song, make their tunes stand out in the realm of progressive rock.

As a live act, Sean and Kent play acoustic versions of their original material along with some of their favorite cover songs. Their years of experience, dry wit and singer-songwriter
sound make their shows memorable and addicting. Many of their songs have found their way onto compilation albums like Live from Bloomington, the IndyMP3 project, and even Musician Magazine's Best Unsigned Bands release. Others have helped sell beer and have been sought for independent films. The new Finest Grain CD is titled "One More Shot." Sean and Kent continue to make noise, play loud guitars and invite friends over to hit things in the studio.
