Description

A mixture of rip-roaring rock, grooving indie-pop and stripped back folk; narrated with lyrics that tell of the ups and downs of life; the buzz of love and success, the despondent feeling of loss and failure and the longing for whatevers round the corner.

Notes

Ed Reed is a musician from Sussex, England. Having played in bands throughout his teens and early 20’s he relocated to Australia after meeting then Aussie girlfriend and now wife in London.
It was living in the musically vibrant city of Melbourne where Ed’s song crafting flourished playing in various outfits and gigging extensively; bringing together his original ‘Britpop’ song writing style with more current pub rock sounds of Australia.
In early 2012 Ed relocated back to England for some much needed time with family...and to promote the release of his debut album.

This year will see the release of "One Good Roll"; a ten track record that oozes with the sounds and qualities that have shaped Ed’s musical career over the last 15 years. Recorded in 2011 with Melbourne Producer Greg O'Shea (Tegan & Sara, K-OS, Feist) the album delivers a mixture of rip-roaring rock, groovin’ indie-pop and stripped back folk; all narrated with lyrics that tell of the ups and downs of life; the buzz of love and success, the despondent feeling of loss and failure and the undeniable quest for…well, just about what ever it is you’re looking for!!
