Description
A different musical side of Harry...
Notes
This album is somewhat of a departure for Harry, as it has many different styles other than the normal easy listening sounds he is known for. In fact, Harry played guitar, bass and drums on this album in addition to the keyboards.
There are even a few songs that feature Brien Burke, a local drummer, playing on Harry's direction. His finesse was integral to the songs that he played with Harry, live into the digital recorder. The initial keyboard tracks and the live drum tracks were recorded live into the digital recorder.
On some of the songs, Harry also played the drums live from the keyboard. The bass sounds were mainly from his 5-string bass and the guitars were from his Fender Strat hooked into a Roland VG-8. Harry used a number of different synths on this album; E-Mu, Ensoniq, Alesis, Korg, Roland and Yamaha. All tracks were recorded to the Fostex D-80/D-90 digital recording system.
With the initial ideas finally out of Harry's head and "on tape", Harry then built these 'soundbeds' into full songs. This was a creative outlet type of album for Harry and shows that he is more than just an easy-listening type songwriter.
