Description

Included in the first 2 discs of this amazing new 4 disc collection is the long awaited re-issues of the original soundtrack LP's to "The Fruit Is Ripe" (Certified Platinum 1977 In Hong Kong) and "Joy Of Flying".

Note

Gerhard Heinz : Classic Soundtracks Series is an amazing 4 disc collection of the most sought after music from the films Gerhard scored during the late 1970s.

On Disc 1 we have the long awaited re-issues of the platinum selling "The Fruit Is Ripe" soundtrack album, "Joy Of Flying" and selections from the soundtrack to "3 Swedish Girls In Hamburg" (a few cuts making their first time available debut).

On Disc 2 we have the lost LP "Soundtrack Music From Sunnyboy & Sugarbaby/Cola, Candy, Chocolate" that was prepared for release in 1979 to be put out by Ariola Records, and mentioned at the end of both film's credits, but was canceled last minute never seeing the light of day....until now! Following the lost LP, we have the never before available original soundtrack score to the 1977 sexploitation classic "Vanessa", which includes a fresh new mixdown of the main vocal theme, mixed by U.S. Engineer Jimmy Michaels (who was ranked #5 in the category of best Indie Rock engineers of 2009).

On Disc 3 we have the never before available soundtrack music from the 1978 cult comedy "Popcorn & Ice Cream" (Popcorn Und Himbeereis) followed by the re-issue of all the original Gerhard Heinz penned tracks from the soundtrack of "Summer Night Fever".

On the final Disc 4, we have a collection of the best and most memorable songs from Gerhard's work during the 1980's. Including the 1981 mix of "Holiday Feeling" made for the opening scene of the gore/horror classic "Bloody Moon", the classic theme song to the US late night Showtime & Cinemax cable favorite "Escape To Paradise", the previously unreleased English version of "Linda Lu" from "Sunshine Reggae On Ibiza" plus 14 other gems of 80s era Heinz.

This collection is a MUST for any fans of Gerhard Heinz, the films the music was made for, or, if you are not familiar with Gerhard's music or the films and just like great music of all kinds from both the disco era and post disco era, then this collection is bound to satisfy!

All tracks have been digitally remastered with the most care for audiophile quality from the original master tape reels. As with all releases through our label JMP Music, we do not follow the trends of current mastering techniques that compress, distort and "brick wall" audio. When dealing with analog material such as this collection, all material is transferred and remastered very carefully to produce the warmest possible sound that you would get on a vinyl LP of the era or a pre-1990s pressed CD.
