Gil and the Harbor has it's roots from Chicago, Colorado, South Carolina, and Florida. Alexander Powers and Walker Barnes began playing together, 5 years ago in Chicago, and so began a wonderful bro-mance that hasn't ceased since. Derrick Whiteside also joined in Chicago, and in 2011 they left the windy city to further pursue music in Nashville, TN. Taylor Sprague (now Taylor Powers) heard wind of this adventure from Colorado and soon followed. Daniel Meigs and BIlly Gunter joined the party in Nashville and completed what is now a full and complete sound. The group loves people, dogs, babies, bicycles, photography, moonlit walks on the beach, and bushwhackers. (Oh, and music, too). More than anything they are excited to begin recording what they've created together.
