Description
I am a fan of Ambient Music, atmospheric music. You can intensely listen to it or just enjoy it in the background. I believe the "ambience" of the environment around us has a huge effect on our well being. Our physical, emotional and spiritual health.
Notes
Our physical, emotional and spiritual experience of our surroundings and our awareness of it is what gives us sensitivity, discernment and wisdom. This CD is a journey. It is an expression of my reality, where I live, my experiences, and what I believe. The ocean and the forest are beautiful. What better place to be inspired to compose then where the rainforest meets the reef, in Cairns.
The existence of water is essential for life on Earth. No person can live without water. I am fascinated that 70-75% of the human body is made of water and 70-75% of the Earth is covered with water.
Like music, water is cyclic. It evaporates (turning into a gas), rises to the sky, cooling and condensing into tiny drops of water or ice crystals that we see as clouds, falling back to Earth as rain, snow or hail before evaporating again and continuing the cycle. Where I live in the tropics, It is the tropical rain that brings this region its abundance of life and lush foliage.
The cyclic nature of music, the ebb and flow, the undulating movements and the cresting waves of climactic overtures parallel with water in many ways. You could call this CD "Water Music". I have called it H2O.
