Description

This CD marks a new beginning for the band. The songs show a growth in the music and lyrics. This is the main reason the band decided to change their name from Noize from the Basement to Goodnight Tonight.

Notes

Goodnight Tonight | Watch the Rain
After a successful release of their first full length CD, “Bird’s Eye View”, the
band, known as Noize from the Basement was recognized as having the
“Best Teen Album” of 2012 from the Indie Music Channel. The band
decided to go back to the Lavaroom Recording Studio and work again with
Producer, Mike Brown on their new album. The music was beginning to
mature and change to a more edgy sound. Emily, Holly and Logan decided
with their new sound, they needed a new name. They chose “Goodnight
Tonight!”. This new name is the start of a new beginning for a band that
began in 2008, when the members were just reaching their teen years. The
songs on this CD represent a newer and mature lyrics and music. The first
single on the new CD touches on people making relationship choices that
turn out all wrong in the end. Poison and Thunderstorm, continues to build
on the relationship theme. Emily Gambone wrote Lieutenant James about
her sister and brother-in-law when he was deployed to Afghanistan. This
song talks not only about the soldier, but about the wife that is left at home,
trying to keep it all together. Finally, the last song on this CD, Back on Your
Feet, Again, explores all of the ups and downs that go with someone going
through cancer and its treatments. This was a song written about the
band’s drummer who went through this ordeal recently.
Watch the Rain is a new collection of songs that will reach out and touch
your senses, with the music that has an unmistakable beat to it and with the
lyrics that will speak directly to your heart.
