Only Human

Gary James is singer/ songwriter and guitarist with over 30 years experience of performing, writing and recording. His latest release, The Never Blue EP showcases his simple and catchy songwriting talents. The title track is a particularly effective demonstration of Gary's ability to take his observations about modern life and transform them into great pop songs. The phrase 'Never Blue' was used by one of Gary's young musical collaborators to describe how he felt about his mood now that he had his first proper girlfriend...a feeling everybody can relate to and one which Gary captures perfectly in the song. "I'm never blue, when I'm with you' - a gorgeous rhyming couplet that lodges itself into your brain and is difficult to shake.

Similarly 'Information Overload' addresses the huge growth in technology which threatens to engulf us all, leaving us with little time for the sort of easy thinking and contemplation that leads to the creation of art, music, poetry and all the other gentle human pursuits which are essential to shaking off the pace and pressure of modern living.

The Never Blue EP is the latest of many recordings that Gary has made that are available on ITunes or via CD on his website. In April 1997 he released his first album The Gathering, (Simple Songs with Hidden Meanings) produced by Mike Trim (Fairport Convention - Ralph McTell - Show of Hands etc). The album was well received and received a great review from National Guitarist Magazine. Since then he has featured on a number of radio and television shows , including ITV West Country and cable TV in the Midlands. He also appeared on the BBC Century Speaks series as part of the National Oral Archive.

In 1999 Gary James released his second album Love Heals which has sold well. which was followed by his third A Time to Be.
