This collection of songs was inspired by life right now as our group saw new life, faced death, change, challenge, triumph and kept the flame of hope and faith alive through the creative process. Songs that tell the story of everyday people seeking to rise above the fray and gain a fresh perspective on our purpose on this earth. Influenced by big band jazz sounds, NOLA blues, southern gospel sounds, big fat horns sections ala Al Green , Tower of Power and James Brown, tasty guitar licks and the funkiest bass around - all those people play this music and that just doesn't happen often. Polished melodies and plaintive lyrics that reach into your soul and stir the emotions as well as thrill the spirit. WARNING! Very hard to listen here and not be moved to a different place even if just for a moment. This is our story, our life right now, and our hope in the life we know is coming! Somebody say amen!
