Description

Redeemed is the 2nd of 3 CDs from this powerful end time ministry. Strong rhythms, inspiring lyrics and heartfelt testimonies attest to the fact that Gospel One rates as one of gospel music's best.

Notes

Redeemed is the 2nd of 3 CDs from this powerful end time psalmist ministry. From it's inception behind prison walls at California State Prison at Calipatria, to now, Gospel One has continued in it's ongoing commitment to spread the Good News of Jesus to those who are lost or in need of encouragement. This CD marks a period in the growth of the ministry in which the challenges of "pressing forward toward the mark for the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus" was become more defined, strengthened and focused and to the glory of God, it is evident in the music.
It is no wonder that since 1998, people have come to rely upon Gospel One for music that "Lifts Up the Name of Jesus" and inspires those in need of encouragement while elevating the listeners to a higher calling in the Lord. The music is contemporary and at the same time embraces the traditions of gospel music without compromising scripture and is easy to listen to.
Art's future plans include ongoing jail and prison ministry through psalmistry as well as teaching and preaching and to be a blessing to the Body of Christ in general while specifically ministering a word of encouragement to recovering addicts, ex-convicts, and their families.
The goal is simple, to deliver "a message to set the captives free" Isa.61:1, to inspire and challenge men and women from all walks of life to take their rightful places in their homes, communities and places of worship

It is this type of commitment to the spreading of the gospel that has led Gospel One to be recipients of the "1999 Glory Award" an honor bestowed upon them by "The Restoration Foundation" for their faithful commitment to the ministry work of Jesus Christ and their contributions to positive change in the community.

Like any recording artist, Art desires to attain commercial success however he believes and knows that his true success lies in taking his ministry wherever it is most needed.
Coming from a background of 20 years as a professional keyboardist, bandleader and songwriter, Art's then apparent success had led him to a lifestyle of drugs, homelessness and incarceration. Over a period of 6 years he had been incarcerated up to 10 times or more.
On his last trip he landed at Calipatria State Prison in California. Art gave his life to Jesus and there behind those prison walls is where Gospel One had it's initial beginnings. Since having been "Born Again" in February 1996, miraculously delivered and set free from a lifestyle of drugs and incarceration by the same power that raised Jesus from the grave, he has committed his musical skills and ability to the spreading of the Gospel Of Jesus Christ through psalmistry, speaking and preaching.

" If God did it for me", he says, "God can do it for anyone". God desires that none should perish and that all people would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus.

We invite you to take this opportunity to join the many people that have come to appreciate Art McAllister and Gospel One as their favorite for contemporary gospel music that truly makes a difference.
