Notes

In 2007 Charlie joined The New Rascals with Dino Danelli, Gene Cornish and Bill Pascali formerly with the Vanilla Fudge..
Souza has also performed and recorded with Tom Petty, Greg Almann, The New Cactus Band, White Witch and Gale Force, a rock group on Fantasy Records in Berkely California which was produced by Wayne Henderson of The Jazz Crusaders, Charlie has recorded with the famous American native actor and protest song writer Floyd "Red Crow" Westerman who origionally recorded an album of protest songs in 1970 and finally completed his work in 1978 using Souza on bass guitar on those sessions.(Floyd Westerman plays Jim Morrisons spiritual guide in the movie "The Doors" and also appears in "Dances with Wolves")
Charlie played bass and wrote some of the music as a member of "FORTRESS" on Atlantic Records. The "Hands in the Till" album is being released world wide on Wounded Bird Records in 2008 and a New FORTRESS release "The Treasure Found" is available at iTunes USA!! The original "Hands in the Till" album was produced by Freddie Piro of Ambrosia fame in 1980. Souza also played bass on a rock 'n' soul gospel album on Myrrh Records by Leon Patillo, formerly of Santana.

Charlie recorded another rock 'n' roll gospel album on Polydor Records with the Darrell Mansfield Band from Costa Mesa California. Hallelujah! Souza then teamed up with drummer Bill Lordan, one of the world's finest, who had done several Robin Trower albums and spent some time touring with Sly & The Family Stone! Charlie and Bill then had the opportunity to become a viable rhythm section, recording together in Phoenix, Arizona, on a record produced by French producer Michele Columbier for the vocalist Wendy Evans. You can now hear the team of Charlie Souza and Bill Lordan as a first class rhythm section, joined by guitar virtuoso Eric Turner, Charlie's lifelong friend and partner since their early days together in The Tropics, on this new release "Live Your Dream."

In 1999, Charlie spearheaded the 30-year reunion of the very first band he played in. On May 7, 1999, The Fabulous Tropics played at the St. Petersburg, Florida, Coliseum. It was a benefit for All Children's Hospital. The reunion was a tremendous success and many good friends were reunited in a free-spirited, fun-filled nostalgic evening, reliving the innocence of those wonderful times. This was the beginning of the resurgence of creativity for Charlie and his many talented friends. "LIVE YOUR DREAM!"
In 2001 a New Release for The Charlie Souza Band included a group collaboration CD "9 Ball in the Corner Pocket" ! Only one year after recording "Live Your Dream", the Band, featuring Eric Turner and Bill Lordan, collaborated with Charlie on a new book of nine songs entitled, "9 Ball in the Corner Pocket" Billiards anyone?
