Jimmy Thompson: Founding member of Aussie rock heavyweights ‘Full Scale’ and ex guitarist for American post hardcore heroes ‘Helmet’... Jimmy resided in the US for 4 years and signed with major US record labels. He has extensively toured Australia, The U.S.A and the world playing shows and stadiums in front of crowds of up to 20,000 people with many bands including Guns N’ Roses, Evanescence and Sevendust respectively…

Christian Parkinson: ex Battlecat vocalist has shared the stage with artists such as Grinspoon, Birds of Tokyo, Gyroscope, Karnivool, Behind Crimson Eyes, Shihad, The Screaming Jets, Jimmy Barnes, Galvatrons, The Choirboys, Dallas Crane and The Angels. The band was selected as Triple J unearthed in 2006, and in 2007 Christian was also a double top 10 finalist in The Australian Songwriters Association awards held in Sydney, Australia.

Dave Rush: ex various Perth bands bass player who has spent many years playing local venues for crowds in excess of 10 who tend to be more interested in their Swan Lager than the band. Rushie has no stadiums, tours or support shows on his gigging CV but has played many a mate’s party for beer.

Chris Webber: ex Crawlspace drummer who had several hit singles on Triple J high rotation and toured Australia extensively with bands such as Grinspoon, Pacifier, Taxiride, The Whitlams, Matchbox 20, Deadstar, Primary, Cold Chisel (in front of 18,000 at the Burswood Dome) and played many festivals including the Big Day Out. Crawlspace was also nominated for an ARIA award for ‘Best Independent Release’ up against the likes of Josh Abrahams and Diana Ah Naid. Crawlspace songs have appeared on TV and films such as ‘CSI’ and Adam Sandler’s movie ‘Click’.

Since they exploded onto the Perth circuit back in March 2011, Sleeping Giant have created an enigma on the scene, turning heads and leaving a lasting impression wherever they roam...

Having already shared the bill with various international and national bands including Helmet (USA), Floating Me (NSW), Tice & Evans (NSW), Sydonia (NSW), Sleeping Giant have also featured in shows including the ‘Raise The Flag’ – Bon Scott’s 65th birthday Tribute, alongside artists like Dave Gleeson (Screaming Jets), Skenie (The Poor), Simon Wright (AC/DC & DIO), Mark Evans (AC/DC) and James Morley (The Angels).

January 2012 saw Sleeping Giant enter the studio to start production on their debut album, two entire years later and the album is finally ready for release. Check it out here
