Chillin With My Guitar

I started out as a teenager listening and trying to learn how to play the old school grooves back in the day on my guitar. I want to bring back those grooves and lyrics of love and happiness to the generation of today.

In this project, I wanted to focus on great music, soulful singing and lyrics that promote love and joy.

As far as my favorite grooves on my CD, it's hard to say. Both, "Bring Back The Old School Grooves" and "Got On My Sneakers" have a nice old school flavor, groove and beat.

One of my favorite tracks that l love lyrically is "My Friend". We all have at least one friend that we can count on no matter what the situation. Plus, we all should be a real true friend to someone else as well.

My song entitled, "Join Hands" was written over ten years ago. It's about people from all over the world, in different religions, different ethnic groups and different races joining hands. It's about people working together for peace, forgiving one another, giving, caring and sharing love.

"Chillin With My Guitar" is about myself relaxing, chillin and playing my guitar for a lovely lady.

"Each Day" is about lovers that are separated because their loved one is in the military, working overseas or in another city, state or on tour. They're counting the days until they can get back together again.

"Got On My Sneakers" is about a guy who believes once he puts on his sneakers, he becomes like Superman or The Flash. He can go through anything, climb over mountains and swim the deepest sea to get to his lover because she's sending him love signals.

I really love my song entitled, "I Do". It's about two people meeting, dating and finally getting married. They live happily ever after. I believe that's the way God meant for it to be.

"Lover's Day" was taken from a song that I wrote called, "Women's Day". In Asia and some parts of Europe, they celebrate a holiday on the 8th of March called Women's Day. Women's Day is almost the same as our Valentine's Day. I changed the title from "Women's Day" to Lover's Day for my American audience.

"I Wanna Go Cruising" is a fun song with a up temple beat and melody.
This song was inspired by some of the people I met throughout my career that love to go for a cruise in a car, on a bike or on a cruise ship. It's time for you to enjoy the moment of cruising with family or friends while listening to this song.

During my travels touring over 20 countries such as Italy, France, Europe, Asia to name a few, I noticed there were hundreds of coffee houses and cafe' shops in the different cities. Coffee shops are a great social place to hang out with family and friends to chat, go on line, relax and enjoy sipping on your favorite cappuccino, Java or tea. Some Cafe's serve food and pastries. Recently they have become more popular in America as well. This inspired Shanti and I to write "Meet Me At The Cafe'. There are also many clubs that welcome spoken word.

"Hold Me Close" is a love song about a person telling the one that he or she loves to hold them close and never let go. A perfect song for a movie sound track.

My song entitled, "The Weekend" is like an old school, funky/heavy bass and a slamming/jamming beat. The lyrics are about a couple or friends going out and having a nice time or going to a party on the weekend.

"Rose Glasses" is about a person who chooses to see the world through rose glasses in an unrealistic positive light.

My major point in this CD is to share and spread love like the old school artists, bands and audiences did back in the day. They really knew how to sing of love expressing high energy and loving feelings at the same time. They knew how to take us to a place in a loving and fun way. The emotions were amazing!!!

It was definitely an experience. There are well over a million people around the world that still love that sound, those grooves and those soulful melodies.

Even the younger generation today will love my CD (music) and the songs of the old school artists/bands from back in the day!
