Jazz solo piano
Notes
This is the second recording for Jack since his " A Senier Moment " CD recorded in 2006. The "ubiquitous" Jack Senier is well known in the Boston,MA area, having played with many of the best known Jazz musicians in New England.
Jack's style reflects the influence of piano greats, such as Tommy Flanagan, Jimmy Rowles, and Dave McKenna. A master tune-smith, Jack digs deep into the American songbook, to bring out seldom heard gems, such as Neil Hefti's "Legs," and Jerome Kern's " In Love in Vain." All the tunes on this CD are performed with Jack's unique touch, great swing feel, and impeccable taste.
This recording is a tribute to Jack's three Daughters, who have been a source of
tremendous inspiration to him. He is joined by one of Boston's finest jazz vocalists, Alanna Manning on three tracks, each dedicated to one of his daughters.Alanna's polished vocals serve as highlights to this marvelous solo collection. The chemistry between Jack and Alanna is a reflection of years of gigging together, with one always ready to play off the other.
Once you hear " A Dedication", you'll be anxiously awaiting Jack Senier's next endeavor.
