Only Jesus (Can Satisfy Your Soul)

By 1976, Sherman Andrus was a well established solo artist in Gospel/Contemporary Christian music. In the process of finishing his latest work (Andrus & Bingle's "A Servant's Heart) in 2013, Sherman decided it was time to re-introduce these older classics as well. It is believed that the original tapes were lost or destroyed over the years. This recording was meticulously archived and re-mastered from one of Sherman's personal Vinyl copies.

Here are the original notes from the back cover of the 1976 release:

As a young boy growing up in Mermentau, a very small town in Louisiana, I used to pray and dream about being able to sing for Jesus and witness for Him all over the world. Fortunately I had the prayers and support of relatives and friends who shared my dream, and because of their support my dream has become a reality. Praise God!

This album is dedicated to Mable and Simon Andrus, my mother and my dad, my six brothers and sisters, the memory of my grandparents, Jim and Felicia Leopold who led me to Christ, and last but not least, my wife and son, Winnie and Sherman Jr. They have spent many hours at my home without a husband and father never complaining by praying that God would use me for His glory.

I thank God and praise Him for these people and the many more too numerous to mention. I also thank Him for you, the people that have supported our ministry over the years
