Death metal with thrash metal influences. Dealing with dark themes ranging from addiction to depression and loss. Driving guitars and brutal vocals, slamming bass lines and relentless drums characterize the freshman release of this Denver based band.

Salt for Knives was founded by guitarist/vocalist Frank Green in the summer of 2012. Following the disbanding of Frank’s former band, Grinkai, he decided to start a project to continue the pursuit of making death metal music.Shortly after forming the band, Frank sought the help of recording artist Augustine Ortiz to produce the album, as well as bass and programming duties. TJ Ortiz was brought on to contribute vocals on the bonus material.

With influences ranging from traditional death metal to thrash and even black metal, S4K endeavors to bring all the talents of its members to the table, to create an extreme metal experience that showcases these artists combined experience.

The bands first release, Conglomerate of Misery, is strongly influenced by Franks own struggles with drugs and alcohol. Following a stint in an alcohol treatment facility, Frank relocated from Santa fe, NM, to Denver CO.
