Notes
Gene Maarkr's third album is a lower-key mixture of blended guitar and synthesized melodies. It's hard to put a specific style to it, but it's definitely rock with a space rock or alternative style and some goth-like features. Recorded in Maarkr's Maine woods studio, it's not relaxed listening, but many are in your face vocals and rocking rhythms with a great drum beat. Its kindof like listening to the radio, the way each song has it's own character and flavor. From the ringing strat guitar sounds in 'Conclusion' to sythesized acoustic guitar in 'Music Box'...and changing piano themes including the dirty organ sounds in 'New Day' are part of the entire album's evolution... from the goth-like Darkest Hour, to the hard rocking Chaos and it's wild synth sampling... the album works it's way into a couple of Pink Floyd-style compositions.
