Description

The album title describes the artist - Scott is not a typical new age guitarist. Inspired by the soul of flamenco and the spice of calypso, this album is an eclectic soundscape that is anything but typical.

Notes

With musical influences ranging from Flamenco, Rock, Calypso and Metal, Scott's playing style is somewhat unconventional. What started out as a side project, from his role as a lead guitarist in a Hard Rock band from Toronto, turned into a collection of songs inspired by the sounds of instrumental Classical and Flamenco guitar.

Here's what others have to say about Lipstick on a Pig:

"It's refreshing to see young artists following their dreams, I have no doubt that Scott will be a star one day."
- Pavlo (guitarist, composer)

"Scott adds a new, fresh and unique voice to the Rumba Flamenco scene".
- Nicolas Hernandez (guitarist, member of Jesse Cook's touring band)

"A blend of suave rhythms and intricate guitar work that are played beautifully in an unforced technique, this is Scott Bynoe: a new age master in classical flamenco."
- Surianne (singer/songwriter)

"Two plectrums up! I find this collection of original compositions a pleasure to listen to. Scott plays with a deft hand (hands, actually) -- with nuance, sensitivity and joy. His compositional skills in this genre are quite mature for a guy in his early twenties. A terrific start."
- Tim Elmy (contributing writer for Canadian Musician magazine)

"Listening to Scott's music and playing reminds me of the day I first heard Jesse Cook play. I was absolutely blown away!!! In my opinion, Scott is one of the best new and upcoming guitarist to keep an eye on. His technique, phrasing, and melodies are absolutely amazing. As a guitarist in this genre myself, it's refreshing to hear someone playing a style I truly enjoy."
- David Gallegos (guitarist)
