Notes
A brief bio of Edmund R. Griffin, Sr., Pastor of the Revelation Church, and Presiding Prelate of the Total Man Ministries, East Orange, NJ.
Musical background began at the tender age of 5, as grandfather's drummer in church. Started piano at the age of 11, and have been playing keyboard as a church & studio musician for over 35 years.
At 11, Edmund performed at the World's Famous Apollo Theater with Dionne Warwick. Also played and backed up some of gospels' greatest singers. To name a few, the Late Alex Bradford, Pastor Timothy Wright, Twinkie Clark, the Late Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, the Late Bishop Jeff Banks and the Revival Temple JB Ensemble, and Evangelist Dorothy Norwood.
Co-produced (1978) one of Gospel House music hottest tracks, "That's How The Good Lord Works". In 1999, met Kenny and Stephanie Bobien, and co-produced and played on the original single, "I Thank You" featuring Stephanie Bobien. In 2001, played and sung background for Cornel Abrams on "No More Mountains Ahead".
In 1998, recorded first tape, "Drive By Hymns", for the building fund of our church. In 2002 me and partner, Isador Davis, Jr., wrote, recorded and produced a 12 track CD called, "House According To The Gospel" featuring "EKUD" & "FLIZ". Since then, produced and recorded 2 CD's. "Music In Black & White" and "I've Got A Feeling". Also, as the musical director (10 years) of the Newark Housing Authority Voices of Hope, we are now recording our first CD.
