Description

Acoustic & Electric worlds collide and make beautiful sonic babies.

Notes

Roger This is a band concerned with one thing above all else, making great music. Their style is mainly centered in Rock, but they tend to push and pull the genre in different directions such as Folk, Alternative, Indie, and Pop among others. The songs lean heavily on the lyrics, which are written by songwriter and front man Evan Chudnow. The project is by all accounts Evan’s ‘baby’, and his often revealing and cathartic lyrics drive the mood and intensity of the songs. Though his primary instrument is Bass Guitar, Evan spent many years writing music and honing his vocal and guitar chops before forming RT. The band, like the music formed fairly organically. All four members of RT met in the halls of Los Angeles Music Academy, where they each spent a year and a half sharpening their musicianship and forging close friendships.

The seeds of the band started in school, but sprouted once they all graduated and started hitting the pavement hard as professional musicians. From there RT became a passion project; a way for 4 highly trained musicians to tap into their creativity and simply have fun playing and writing music together. They brought with them very different influences, as they originate from various parts of the world (Evan Chudnow (Vox, Guitar) - Wisconsin, Andrew Moore (Guitar, BgVox) – Canada, Pierluigi Ciaccio (Drums) – Italy, and Ryan Bradetich (Bass) – Texas). Despite different origins and cultural backgrounds their connection and cohesiveness is palpable both on stage and on their recordings.

Their debut ‘Tear It Down’ EP contains 3 songs that serve as an impressive introduction to the bands sound and potential. The sophomore release entitled "Teenage Wasteland" includes the first EP as "bonus tracks", and also 5 fresh tunes. One of the 5 tracks is a cover of "Baba O'Riley" written by The Who, but Roger This puts a fresh take on the classic title. The other 4 original tracks showcase the bands incredible musicianship and penchant for meaningful songwriting. Each track brings a great deal of energy and emotion both with the lyrics and sounds, and takes the listener on a journey from start to finish.
