This CD rocks!!!
Robert Wuagneux has hit a home run with this effort. His performances are legendary. If you haven’t seen him live, you can very close to it here. He captures that live moment as well as he ever has onstage and in person.
ALWAYS never stops coming at you. Surrounded by his “usual suspects” – Bob Boyer and Tim Lynch, Robert has definitely reached a performance level that few can claim to have even approximated.
This project ROCKS!!! There are no filler tunes!!! Robert has referred to this CD informally as Chapter 1 and knowing him and his prolific writing ability, I can just imagine what the next chapter has in store…but that’s later. Right now ALWAYS, Chapter 1 has my undivided attention, and it seems as though many independent radio stations and pod-casts feel the same
The project ALWAYS is steeped in Roots Rock, Blues, Doo-Wop at its finest, Americana backbeat boogie with powerful vocals, driving rhythms with meaningful lyric, and just for good measure a beautiful contemporary Folk tune– no da-da-da-da here.
