Song Lyrics from Rick James debut CD "Workin' On Commission". From the smallest of Churches to the world famous Ryman Auditorium, home of the Grand Ol' Opry in Nashville Tennessee, Rick James has been playing music to the glory of God. Rick began playing guitar as a Sophomore in high school and quickly excelled and in a matter of a few years was opening for acts like Ginny Owens, Sarah Masen, and Lisa Beville. While attending Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville Tennessee, Rick recorded his first CD of all original music titled, “Workin’ On Commission”. Rick also released a second CD titled, "With Empty Hands" shortly after moving to Ohio in 2002 and is in the planning stages for recording another CD in 2007. Rick is also featured on the newly released children’s DVD/CD titled “Little Joseph” (www.golittleleaders.com). Rick James is an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene. Rick lives in Springfield Ohio where he serves at First Church of the Nazarene minister of music and youth.
