Rick Hayes is a songwriter from Newfoundland, Canada. Newfoundland is an island on the east coast, and is home to a great deal of musical and artistic talent. Rick likes to think he has come by his talent honestly, and writes songs as often as they come to him, which is sometimes fairly often. Growing up in a small town in Newfoundland was an experience Rick would never trade for anything. The small town people, and the rugged landscape, mixed with the Atlantic Ocean’s presence brought a sense of beauty and peace to this young man from “The Rock”.
