Description

A new wave of Christian Classic Rock with a hint of blues. If you like a Fender Strat and a Hammond B 3 with tight harmonies, you will love this!!!

Notes

Retro is a collection of 4 of my original songs. I believe they are all connected as I am with each musician who played on it. I have always loved non trendy music which contains heart, rock and soul. The instruments used are authentic, the people are real, the passion is great. I trust you will enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it. I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, my wife Denise, our kids and grandkids, my Church family at Family Worship Christian Church in Las Vegas, my friends who played on this project, and all those who have loved and continue to stand by me.

For those upon the Rock, I salute you...

Songs:

Glory Appear

I truly believe we are living in the last days and need the presence of God like never before. This song is a prayer asking for that very Presence to manifest here on planet earth. The presence of God has a way of winning battles, silencing enemies and changing situations & circumstances. May it minister to you in whatever you're going through.

B On Fire

This song was written at a time when I was young in the Lord and feeling particularly excited about Jesus and being a Christian. I wrote this in my dads chicken Koop where we had started to have meetings on Friday nights. People came from all over Minnesota as well as the surrounding states to attend. I've found through the years the challenge is to keep the fire hot and stay salty. So much about what the Bible says is for us to keep going and moving one step at a time. I've modified the lyrics since then and hope this song helps you to do just that. As far as I know, this is the first Christian song to ever use a guitar talk box made famous by Joe Walsh & Peter Frampton.

Send Me

In 1983 I attended an AFCM Missions Conference with my friend Dean who plays drums on this project, which changed my life. It was a magical week filled with many encounters with God, ministers and people. I received my call to ministry when Brother Kenneth E. Hagin gave the invitation. When I returned home I wrote this song as a rocker, but only played it a few times. It sat in my guitar case for 30 years when one night at a prayer meeting at the church which I pastor, I received the chorus Send Me. I immediately remembered the original song which I had wrote. I slowed it up, added the chorus and changed the name to Send Me. I hope it inspires you to have a world vision.

By My Side

This could be my theme song as I've learned and discovered through the years that without Him I can do nothing. Whenever I have tried to make something happen it was hard and didn't turn out so well. When I've allowed Him to work in me, with me and through me, there was lasting fruit. This project is an example of the great conductor, (The Holy Spirit) calling the shots and giving direction. There were times in the making when my recording engineer friend Vance and I would be thinking the same ideas. It happened way too many times to be coincidental. I remember driving away with a Holy fear and reverence for what had happened. I am thankful Jesus is forever by my side.
