ReHkO Biography

1983 - Music started in his life with Classical & Pop Piano Classes.

1990 - Started to have singing lessons at Studio Nancy Miranda, she invited ReHkO to become Singing Teacher at the Studio performing with the students.

1991 - In one of the studio shows, Roberto de Carvalho (Rita Lee) invited ReHkO to play live his new solo album.

1992 – In an audition for Sergio Dias Baptista (Os Mutantes), ReHkO got invited to perform with his band in the tour for The Album “Mind Over Matter”; Opening for Rick Wakeman (Yes) at the Olympia - São Paulo - Brazil.

1994 to 2001 – Rita Lee Jones & Roberto de Carvalho invited ReHkO to perform In several tours: “A Marca da Zorra” 1995, “Acustico MTV” 1998 and the album “3001” in 2000; Recorded Live the cd “A Marca da Zorra” at the Canecão - Rio de Janeiro - Brazil. They toured in all the Capital Cities in Brazil, Portugal and Uruguay; We’ve had the honor to play with the greatest names of the Brazilian Music like: Caetano Veloso, Erasmo Carlos, Zélia Duncan, Pato Fu, Paula Toller (Kid Abelha), George Israel (Kid Abelha), Fernanda Abreu, Ed Motta, Leo Gandelman, Ney Matogrosso, Barão Vermelho... And to open the shows for The Spin Doctors and The Rolling Stones at the Vodoo Lounge Tour - São Paulo at The Pacaembu Stadium and Rio de Janeiro at The Maracanã Stadium with an audience of 200.000 people winning The Shell Award as The Best Show of The Year (1995).

2003 to 2005 – ReHkO with Sergio Dias Baptista toured in his solo álbum Estação da Luz; Playing all over Brazil and at the Guanabara - London, England, transmited live by the BBC radio.

2006 – With the revival of the legendary band "Os Mutantes", ReHkO had the honor to join the group and perform at The Legendary Barbican Center - London - England playing with great names of the internacional music, opening for The Flaming Lips in Los Angeles - California at The Hollywood Bowl, with Devendra Banhart at The PitchFork Festival in Chicago - Michigan and with Mike Patton (Faith No More) at ATP Nightmare Before Christhmas Minehead - England.
Sony Music Internacional released a CD & DVD of Os Mutantes Live at The Barbican Theatre in London – 2006.
This recording was Latin Grammy Nominated in two categories for Best Rock Album & Best Album Cover.
This Album also got The TIM AWARD of Best Pop Band of The Year in 2006 in Brazil.

2007 – ReHkO was invited by Susanna Motta & Frederico Zanatta to record a track (Tecnicolor) in the Album "Jardim Elétrico: A Tribute to Os Mutantes", released in Italy by Madcap Collective.
Highlighting "Os Mutantes" first show with this revival in São Paulo - Brazil, got an audience of more than 100.000 people in January 25, 2007 at Ipiranga’s Museum.

2008 - The first "Os Mutantes" Show in São Paulo - Brazil at Virada Cultural, São João Stage, got an audience of 70.000 people in April 27.

2008/2009 - ReHkO recorded with Os Mutantes the Album “HAIH or Amortecedor” Label: Anti Epitaph - Los Angeles - CA, released in September 2009 all around the world.

2010 – The Brazilian version of the Album “HAIH or Amortecedor” is released by Coqueiro Verde Records; In this Album, ReHkO composed the song “Call Me” recorded by Os Mutantes. This recording was Latin Grammy Nominated for Best Rock Album in September 2011.

December 2012 - Rio Negrinho, Santa Catarina, PsicoDalia Festival happens and the magic of Os Mutantes Album "Tudo Foi Feito Pelo Sol", recorded in 1974, is performed live after 39 years of gap with the original members that recorded on stage again, Sergio Dias Baptista, Tulio Mourão, Antonio Pedro Fortuna & Rui Motta, ReHkO is invited to be a part of the band in this new reunion.

March 2013 – ReHkO releases worldwide the single “Dance With Me”, as a teaser from his Album AfroDoublePackMan.
